The Devil Wears Prada on BD-DVD
I can’t believe it. The Devil Wears Prada is one of the most popular movies of 2006. For the last couple of months, whenever I search for Prada I only find pages that have something to do with this movie.
It’s a little annoying because I can’t really find any other news about the great fashion company.
Maybe I should see the movie and find out what it really is about. But I’m afraid it’s not really my type, as I understood it’s a drama.
Leaving that aside, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment announced that in December they will launch The Devil Wears Prada in the Blue Ray Disk (BD) format.
Besides the content on the current DVD, the new BD/DVD will include much more interesting goodies, such as interviews and commentaries with the movie’s director, David Frankel, producer Wendy Finerman, costume designer Patricia Field, screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, editor Mark Livolsi and director of photography Florian Ballhaus.
The movie on the BD format will include 15 additional scenes that were cut out of the previous releases.
And of course, you’ll find in there trailers for upcoming BD releases.
But in the meanwhile, you can still watch the current DVD of The Devil Wears Prada.
And to see for yourself what Prada is really all about, take a look at the Prada handbags at Forzieri.

He also confirmed that Katie’s wedding dress was designed by Giorgio Armani, which I covered in an earlier post.
We already knew that from Armani’s representative, but it’s good to see that rumors get confirmed by two different sources.
Well, all I can wish them is a happy marriage and congrats on getting Armani to do a fantastic work.
Maybe we’ll get some pictures of the actual wedding dress soon after the wedding. Two photographers will be present there.

No commentsArmani and Cavalli to do business in India
Recently, Giorgio Armani and Roberto Cavalli met with the Indian designer Pradeep Hirani, with whom they discussed the possibility of expanding their business in India.
With such a huge market ready for their luxurious creations, both Armani and Cavalli were enthusiastic about the idea.
Here’s what Pradeep Hirani had to say about it:
“Giorgio Armani is a wonderfully warm man. We met twice on the trip and since he speaks no English and I can’t speak Italian, we communicated through a translator.”
“Cavalli is worshipped by fashionistas around the world. What we had in common was his interest in India. His two main grievances are that we have no high street in India and most retailers don’t have the expertise of luxury fashion retail. Cavalli is reluctant to use the facilities at 5 star hotels because they have to pay very high rents for very few footfalls.”
It’s too early to say something for certain, but it’s most likely that the to Italian designers will start retailing their products in stores in Mumbai and Delhi.
