Missoni Home Collection 2007

The new 2007 Missoni Home collection is once again leading design trends.
Its vibrant black-and-white palette returns in 2007, but this time complemented by a bold new floral element: the rose, together with compositions of violets.
Repeated patterns coexist and support one another: roses and cubes, violets and chevrons, flecks of colour and animal motifs.
“The Missoni Home line boasts an exceptional and unique graphic approach to colour, which complements my other lines,” says Le Baldaquin owner Colette Dolman.
“It’s another direction to offer the designers and architects.”
In addition to the Missoni Home collection, Le Baldaquin Montreal home to a range of accessories that marks its reputation as the city’s pre-eminent showplace for home furnishings and décor.
Owned and run by Colette Dolman since 2005, the boutique showcases linens, silks, brocades and damasks from Europe’s top textile companies.
Le Baldaquin Montreal is also renowned for its functional art objects, from top names including Martha Sturdy, Michael Aram and Colin Schleeh.

Designer Donatella Versace has publicly supported the increasing pressure on the fashion industry to discourage super-thin models, but the struggles young women face with eating disorders has now hit home for the outspoken Italian.
According to People magazine, Versace’s 20-year-old daughter, Allegra, is currently undergoing treatment for anorexia.
There had been suspicion for months that the younger, uber-slim Versace was battling an eating disorder, and her mother confirmed the news in a statement released earlier this week.
“She is receiving the best medical care possible to help overcome this illness and is responding well,” Versace said.

LOL, I was just looking around the fashion blogs, when what do I see? An interesting poll on whether this new Fendi Crossword Grande Mirrored Bag looks geeky or not…
I think it looks great (or an I just a geek?
), but make sure you cast your vote to have a better idea on what the truth is.
Armanj Started Using Swarovski
Giorgio Armani followed in Christian Dior’s hallowed footsteps, when he created a Swarovski crystal exclusively for his use. The “Diamond Leaf” stone was given a special coating to give a metallic, shadowy effect and was then showcased on the finale dress at Armani’s autumn/winter 07/08 show in Milan. The designer said,
“Swarovski crystal brings a touch of magic to a dress, an ethereal quality, a lustre which never fails to captivate the attention,” he continued. “It was therefore a pleasure to be asked to create a new and unique crystal.”
Especially when Swarovski hasn’t worked with a designer in this way since the Fifties, when Christian Dior produced the “Aurora Borealis”, a successful stone used extensively in the fashion industry. The jeweler is also about to team up with designer Philip Treacy at Milan’s Salone Internationale del Mobile exhibition.
